Wired Network Access - Game Console Registration
Students at MacMurray College may bring their game consoles and register them on the network for online use. You will need to know your console's MAC (or physical) address to complete the registration process. Instructions on how to find your MAC address can be found via the registration page, or you can find them here.
Make sure your console is plugged into the network before starting the registration process.
On your computer, visit http://macrr.mac.edu/registration/ and click the second link: "Register a game console or other network connected device." You should see a page like the one below.
Enter your username (your MAC email address without the "@webmail.mac.edu" portion) and your campus password. You can enter either the MAC address or the IP address of your console. Select the type of device it is and click "Register."
Your console will then be registered on the network.
If you receive any error messages, please check the following:
- make sure the MAC address is correct and entered in the correct format (ex: AA:BB:CC:DD:EE:FF)
- make sure your username and password are correct
Contact the IT department if you still cannot register your game console.
