Computer Labs/Student Use Computers
Computers for student use can be found in the Library, Mac Hall Room 11, Ed Complex Room 203, Springer Center 105, and the Center for Learning Excellence in the Ed Complex. A computer lab is also maintained in the Department of Nursing for use exclusively by nursing students. Most campus computers are IBM-compatible PCs, with exception of the Art Department computer lab which uses Apple computers. Hours for these locations may change throughout the year, and the campus community will be notified via MacMurray email if changes occur.
All lab computers are equipped with a minimum of Microsoft Windows XP, Microsoft Office, and an internet browser. Other software may be available in certain locations as requested for particular courses. Installation of additional software is prohibited unless permission is granted by the Office of Information Technology.

Pfeiffer Library has eighteen publicly available desktop computers in both the Reference & Periodicals Rooms. Connected to two high-speed laser printers, these computers are available for word processing, email, web searching, and using the library-selected online reference resources or full-text databases.
The library staff carefully selects the online reference resources and databases for content and support of the college's curricula, so that students can find reliable and pertinent information easily. Available from anywhere on the campus network, these databases include Academic Search Premier, OmniFile Full Text Select, CINAHL Plus with Full Text, JStor, PsycINFO, Education Research Complete, SocINDEX with Full Text and many others.
