COURSE OBJECTIVES:

To gain an understanding of criminal procedure, with an emphasis on Illinois law and police work.


GRADING POLICY:        

quizzes - 15%

There will be nine quizzes given. Each quiz will be given at the beginning of class over the reading assignment in Bacigal for that day. You may drop your lowest quiz score.  No make-up quizzes will be given.

            midterm - 20%

            book reports - 15%

No late papers will be accepted.  All papers must be handed in through Turnitin.com/ Instructions for the papers will be handed out separately.

           final - 50%

            These are the highest cut-off points that I will use in assigning letter grades:

                        A 90-100%

                        B 80-89%

                        C 70-79%

                        D 60-69%

                        F 0-59%


IMPORTANT DATES:

March 01 - Midterm Exam

March 22 – no class, picking fall classes

April 07 – second paper due

April 28 - 8am, Final Exam
