Department of Education

The Education Department requires all education majors to complete an application form before they are officially accepted into the program. 

The completion of the application for Admission to Teacher Education represents your intention of continue in  the Teacher Education Program at MacMurray college.  However, it should be remembered that entrance into Teacher Education does not mean automatic entrance in to the Student Teaching phase.  At the appropriate time, a separate application must be made for Student Teaching.  Criteria, as listed under the Benchmarks, must be met if you are to continue as a teacher education candidate.

Your Application for Admission to Teacher Education will be referred to the Education Department Screening Committee for consideration.  You will be notified as quickly as possible of the decision.  hidden
