State Testing for Certification

The State of Illinois requires, in addition to your graduation from an accredited school, a series of three tests in order to be certified as a teacher in the State of Illinois.

These tests are the Basic Skills, Content Area, and Assessment of Professional Teaching. Study Guides, Test Dates, Registration Information etc can be found at the Illinois Certification Testing Website.
