Jennifer L. Briney, M.A. Jenny has five years experience managing a learning center and building successful programs to increase student success. She has a Master’s degree in Sociology, a Bachelor’s degree in History Education, and has Developmental Education Specialist Certification from Kellogg Institute. She also has Learning Center Leadership Certification from the National College Learning Center Association. She is the Director of the Center for Learning Excellence and teaches the MAC 101 College Success Classes as well as serving as a resource for the developmental courses. Dan Callihan, M.S. Dan has four years of experience working full-time in a Learning Center. While he can tutor almost any subject, he also advocates for students, assisting them with any problem interfering with their success. Dan has both a Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree in Biology, is a Certified Developmental Education Specialist, and has nine years of teaching experience. Dan teaches Developmental Reading and the MACM 201 Study Skills course. He has 12 years of experience in Higher Education with 4 years as a Professional Tutor and Student Advocate. Nate Robinson, B.S. Nate is the MacASSIST Coordinator, which deals with athletes that are having academic troubles as well as those that want help improving their grades. Having his Bachelor’s Degree in Sport Management from MacMurray College, Nate tutors subjects around the major, as well as helps students that are having trouble adjusting to college life. Nate is also a football coach at Mac in charge of the Wide Receivers. He has two years experience in Higher Education working in our Learning Center. Phone: 217-479-7159 |
