Eric Jensen
Head Basketball Coach
Eric Jensen enters the 2007-2008 season, in his first year as Head Coach of the MacMurray College Highlander Women's Basketball Program. The Women's Basketball Program has won two SLIAC regular season championships and one SLIAC conference tournament championship. Those championships are what Coach Jensen has his sights set on.
Coach Jensen came to MacMurray College from Anderson University, (AU), in Anderson, Indiana, where he was an assistant coach for three years. While at AU, Coach Jensen was the recruiting coordinator and was in charge of the guard development for the team. In his last two seasons at AU, Coach Jensen helped guide the Ravens to 16 wins each of the last two years. AU also advanced to the Heartland Collegiate Conference Tournament in those seasons.
Prior to AU, Coach Jensen assisted in recruiting and developing post players at Franklin College in Franklin, Indiana. That year, Franklin College finished with a record of 23-5 and won the Regular Season HCAC Championship and the HCAC Tournament Championship.
Coach Jensen was a graduate assistant at the University of Indianapolis in Indianapolis, Indiana. While at U of Indy the Greyhounds won their conference regular season title and conference tournament, finishing 29-3 and were ranked 7th in the nation among NCAA Division II teams.
Coach Jensen graduated from North Central College in Naperville, Illinois in 2002 with a Bachelors of Arts in History. While completing his degree, Jensen was a student assistant for the women's basketball team. In his last season at North Central College, he was appointed as Recruiting Coordinator.
In 2005, Coach Jensen attained his Master's Degree from Nova Southeastern in Sport Management. He is currently teaching in the Sport Management Program at MacMurray.
Coach Jensen and his wife, Cathy, have two daughters, Leslie, 4, and Ella, 1 ½ months.
