MacMurray College Volleyball Players Receive Awards

JACKSONVILLE, IL – Three MacMurray volleyball players received post-season honors from the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.  SLIAC All-Conference student-athletes are selected by the nine volleyball coaches in the SLIAC. 

      Samantha Jo Petefish, daughter of Richard and Holly Petefish, from Ashland, IL was named to the Honorable Mention All-Conference Team for her play this season.  Petefish ended the season leading her team’s defense with 471 digs.  She is a junior majoring in social work. 

     Kelsey Pembrook, daughter of Maria Pembrook and Larry and Cindy, Pembrook, from Greenfield, IL was named to the All-Conference Sportsmanship Team.  Pembrook is recognized for her leadership, dedication, and sportsmanship on and off the field.  She is a sophomore majoring in special education.

     Taylor Soat, the daughter of Tim and Tami Soat of Galena, IL, was named to the 2012 SLIAC All-Academic Team for the second year in a row. The criteria for the all-academic team include a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA, at least sophomore standing and a full year at their current institute.
