Todd Creal enters the 2010-2011 season in his fourth year as the Head Coach of the MacMurray College Highlander Men's Basketball Program.
A native of Brighton, Illinois, Creal played for Piasa Southwestern High School, continued his basketball career at Lewis and Clark Community College, and later transferred to Illinois College in Jacksonville. There he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics/Business Administration with a minor in Physical Education in 1998, and completed his Master of Science degree in Sport Management with an emphasis in Facility Management from Western Illinois University in 2001.
Coach Creal's coaching career began in 1998 at his alma mater, Illinois College, in Jacksonville. As the assistant coach, Illinois College's program saw its first winning season in two-decades in 1999; they qualified for their first Midwest Conference Tournament in 1999 and then advanced to the championship game in 2001. Coach Creal was concurrently the Junior Varsity Basketball Head Coach and compiled a record of 26-4.
In 2002, Creal was recruited to coach two seasons at Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois, as an assistant coach with the Men's Basketball Program. While at Augustana, the team compiled a record of 37-13, including a 20-5 record in 2002-03 and a CCIW Conference Championship. Coach Creal was also the Men's and Women's Head Coach for Tennis, where his teams compiled a combined 34-16 record in dual matches.
Todd Creal comes to MacMurray College after a three-year tenure at Millikin University in Decatur, Illinois, where he served as the Assistant Head Coach for Men's Basketball and was in charge of all athletic recruiting while at Millikin. Coach Creal was also the Junior Varsity Head Basketball Coach and was promoted to interim Head Coach in 2007.
