The MacMurray football team started spring practice early in March and has completed 14 practices over last two months.
“Our coaches all agreed this was the best spring ball session we’ve had since I’ve been here in my three years,” said Chris Douglas, head football coach. “This group worked hard all off-season. They know where to go, what to do and had great energy doing it. When you have those three things, you can get a lot done.”
Douglas attributes much of the team spring success to their dedication in the
weight room. He said he saw “…dramatic improvements in strength and body composition this off-season.”
The Highlanders look to build upon a positive spring and turn that into regular
season success. The will start their season September 6, 2014 at Culver-Stockton College in Canton, MO.
