Highlanders shutout 8-0 by Aurora U. in first game of doubleheader

Aurora University got a complete-game from Josh Kwasny and evened the series with MacMurray College Saturday afternoon at Lenz Field. Kwasny scattered four hits and struck out seven to quiet the Highlanders, who pounded out 27 hits in a 10-inning win yesterday over the Spartans.
The Highlanders committed seven errors and Aurora broke open a close game with a run in the sixth and five in the seventh.
Dillon Popovich went 2-4 with four RBI for Aurora. He opened the scoring with a two-run HR in the first inning and had a two-run single in the sixth. Zach Flores went 2-3 with two RBI.
Aaron Krummrich had two of the Highlanders' four hits and Austin Cory and Jeremy White had one hit apiece. Clayton Ruckman struck out six in six innings pitched for MacMurray.
Aurora improves to 3-9 with the win; while the Highlanders fall to 3-3 with the loss.
