The MacMurray College women's basketball team ran into a hot-shooting Eureka College team Wednesday night in a 77-71 conference loss at home. The visiting Red Devils sank a school-record twelve 3-point field goals and handed the host Highlanders their seventh straight loss.
Eureka guards Emily Camden and Kiley Bugaieski each had a game-high twenty points; and Caty Eeten added seventeen points (13-13 from the FT line).
The Highlanders were led by Megan Duisen, Gabby Douglas and Carley Prince who each had eleven points. Jen Cox contributed with nine points and a team-high seven rebounds.
Eureka College improves to 15-6 overall and 11-3 in SLIAC play; while MacMurray College falls to 3-18 overall and 2-12 in league play.
The Highlanders will host Westminster College (Mo.) on Saturday at 1PM in their next game.
