A cold start and 28 turnovers proved to be too much to overcome Wednesday night as the MacMurray College women's basketball team dropped a 73-51 loss at Iowa Wesleyan College.
Coach Derek James' club scored only fifteen points in the first half and shot a dismal 23% (3-13) from the free-throw line in a loss to the league-leading Tigers. Cydny Saxer scored a team-high fourteen points on 5-8 shooting from the field and KayDee Carmody added ten points in the loss.
Iowa Wesleyan College improves to 13-3 overall and 8-1 in conference play; while the Highlanders fall to 3-14 overall and 2-8 in SLIAC play. The MacMurray women are back in action on Saturday, when they host Greenville College in a 1PM start at Wall Gymnasium.
