Spencer Pratt had a team-high eighteen points and a host of Highlanders made key contributions as the MacMurray College men's basketball team battled to a 78-72 SLIAC win over Fontbonne University Wednesday night in Wall Gymnasium.
Dylan Burton had twelve points and Cole Busch registered a double-double with ten points and a game-high twelve rebounds. Dylan Guthrie had nine points off the bench and most of those came late in the game when the Highlanders needed every point against a gutty Griffin squad.
Brady Slagle also had an excellent all-around game for Mac with seven points, eight rebounds and a game-high five assists.
Fontbonne was led by Darius Rucker, who led all scorers with 21 points. Rucker also grabbed ten rebounds for the Griffins. Koty Ettinger also had a solid game for Fontbonne with sixteen points.
The win raises MacMurray College's recrod to 11-4 overall and 7-1 in league play. Coach Todd Creal's club host Webster University Saturday afternoon at 3PM in the SLIAC Game-of-the-Week.
