Highlanders drop road game to defending conference champions

Spalding University remains undefeated in the conference play, as they defeated MacMurray College 63-52. MacMurray is now 7-4 overall and 3-1 in SLIAC play.
The Highlanders only had 8 turnovers on the evening, compared to the Golden Eagles with 14. The Highlanders struggled at the charity stripe, they made it to the free throw line 37 times, but only converted 18 of those attempts to points.
Brady Slagle led the Highlander attack with 22 points, he also had 8 rebounds and 2 assists. Cole Busch also pulled down 8 boards.
Thomas Blakemore of Spalding University had a game high 24 points. William Barber also added double digits for Spalding, with 12 points.
The Highlanders return to action Tuesday at home against Principia. The game is at 8:00 pm and will be broadcasted on The Highlander Sports Network.
