The MacMurray College women’s soccer team dropped to 0-3 on the season after dropping their first home contest to Lincoln Christian University, 2-1.
Freshman Caroline Keppler put the Highlanders on track scoring her first goal of the season 16 minutes into the game. Freshman Cassie Cronin and junior Kristen Elsila each tipped in with an assist. Freshman Kelli Sells was in net for the Highlanders in the first half, shutting out Lincoln Christian on the scoreboard and tallying five saves.
Lincoln Christian’s offense came alive in the second period, when they scored back to back goals within the last twenty minutes of play to top the Highlanders by a final score of 2-1.
MacMurray women’s soccer returns to action on Saturday, September 8th when they welcome in Benedictine University for a 1:00pm game.
