Welcome from the Vice President for Enrollment Management

Bob LaVerriere

MacMurray isn’t about blending in and getting by. It’s not about listening to lectures and taking notes. It’s about being creative. It’s about speaking your mind. It’s about trying to understand another point of view. It’s about opening yourself up to new ideas and new experiences. It’s about transforming your life.

Welcome to the MacMurray College website. I’m pleased you’re considering Mac and joining a career-driven liberal arts institution that’s all about transforming lives.

If you’re looking for a college where you’ll be challenged academically, known by name, and given opportunities to contribute to the life of the College, you’ve chosen well by visiting our site. At MacMurray, classes are small so you’ll benefit from personal attention. The 28 diverse student organizations and 10 athletics programs offer unique social, academic, volunteer and sports opportunities outside of the classroom. Our Methodist foundation stresses values, ethics, and the dignity of every person. A safe campus supports an intimate, friendly learning community.

Finding the college that is your ideal match requires asking specific questions, and our campus tours and Open Houses are great opportunities to get detailed answers. Tours are given weekdays (also Saturdays by contacting us in advance), and Open Houses are offered in the fall and spring. I encourage you to register for these special events and to begin a conversation with our admission counselors.

As a prospective student of MacMurray College, let us help you discover the answers that will make your college decision the right one, the one that will transform your life.
