There is an additional fee of $300 for directed study courses. In case of withdrawal from a course, you may contact the Business Office as to whether or not a refund applies. Failure to attend a class, particularly prior to withdrawal, may actually increase a student’s financial obligation through loss of financial aid.
Adding/Dropping Courses
The last day to add a course, or to register for a directed study, independent study, or career experience is Wednesday, September 1. The last day to drop a course without showing on the student’s transcript is Wednesday, September 8. After this, the last day to withdraw with a W, WP, or WF on the transcript is Friday, November 5. (see below)
Pass/Fail Grading Option

Last Day to Withdraw from a Course or from the College Without Academic Penalty: Friday, November 5, 2010.
Please note that a withdrawal at this point will not reduce your charges. Petitions to withdraw from any or all courses with W grades after this date will be considered only for extenuating circumstances beyond the student’s control. Failure to withdraw officially from any or all courses will result in an “F” being entered on the permanent record, and included in the computation of the GPA.
