Flood Update

The restoration process continues at MacMurray College, due to flooding on the south end of campus. We are strongly encouraged by the support that has already been provided, however the College's financial need remains quite large. Naima Johnston-Bush, February 6

Naima Johnston-Bush will bring her uplifting music, wit and wisdom to Jacksonville at 7 p.m. Monday, February 6 at the Marian Chase Schaeffer Studio Theatre in the Education Complex. The event is free and open to the public.

"Bleacher Bums" auditions, February 6

MacMurray College will hold an audition for the play “Bleacher Bums: a nine-inning comedy,” 7 - 9 p.m. Monday, February 6 in Thoresen Recital Hall in the Putnam/Springer Center. Read the press release for more information about the parts available.

A Hearing-Deaf Connection, February 7

In “A Hearing-Deaf Connection: Music in the church? Straight talk for hearing people,” Katherine “Kitty” Aubry will discuss cultural similarities and differences, including the role -- or not -- of music in the deaf community. This latest event in the MacMurray Speaker Series begins Tuesday, February 7 at 7 p.m. in Thoresen Recital Hall in the Putnam/Springer Center. Admission is free and the general public is welcome to attend. More information.
